High Desert style architecture encompasses a unique blend of stucco, natural stone and timber construction. Large windows shaded by extended roof overhangs make this a very popular choice for the Central Oregon lifestyle.
Often found among the ancient Ponderosa Pines, the Northwest Lodge home blends in beautifully within the natural surroundings of the Cascade Mountains. Heavy timber accents, stone and natural wood siding are key components of this architectural style. Interior finishes often include stone fireplaces, hardwood floors, substantial woodwork and custom cabinetry.
The roots of this style originate from fourteenth century Italy. Ornamentation, symmetry and elaborate ironwork are symbolic of this style. Stucco exteriors with stone accents and Mediterranean tile roofs are classic components of Tuscan architecture. Limestone and marble interior finishes are also often seen in Tuscan homes.

The authentic look and feel of a log home provides a sense of rugged natural beauty. An American tradition for hundreds of years, these homes are often found in heavily wooded areas. The interiors of these homes can vary from rough hewn logs to a more refined finish of your choice.
First popular in the United States in the early 1900’s, Craftsman homes are characterized by having low, gentle sloping roofs, many with dormers. The house usually has wide eaves above a deep porch which has distinctive square pillars. The roof rafters are traditionally exposed, while the inside of the home has many built-in cabinets, nooks, seating, and shelving. The interior beams of the house are usually exposed and used as decorative elements as well.
